Yesterday we participated in our local March for Babies by the March of Dimes. We did this last year and really enjoyed it.
This year my little one even got to participate in the Superhero Sprint! They had the kiddos go in waves based on their age. She was the only one year old so we joked that she won her bracket!
The March for Babies helps raise awareness for prematurity. It also helps raise money to support the health of moms and babies. I learned a lot of facts from the March of Dimes, for example, about half a million babies are born premature or with birth defects each year.
Last year when I first saw there was a March of Babies taking place near me, I knew I had to sign up! We had a few family members join us and it was so cool to see other families with their preemies there.
This year our team grew a bit and our daughter was a little older so she got to enjoy the event too. It felt good to raise money for a good cause and to take a day to really remember how far we have come.
If you have a cause that is important to you, I recommend getting involved!
